BLACK LIGHT by Stephen Durbin

BLACK LIGHT

I danced a dance once,

Lost, but with each other.

Cloaked in darkness,

Masked in ivory.

Hands stained pearls.

I held her in my arms,

As she held me in hers.

Finally, the curtain of life opened.

Once again, I am proud to be an American.
